Simple terms for a service business
These terms apply to this website and to every styling service booked with Style & Wear Lab Pty Ltd. By booking a session you accept them; if something here doesn't work for your situation, raise it before paying — we're reasonable.
Where these terms and a written quote disagree, the quote wins. Australian Consumer Law applies regardless of anything written here.

Bookings and payment
Sessions are confirmed once a time is agreed and a 30% deposit is paid. The balance is due on the day of the session. Membership billing is monthly from the signup date.
Prices on this site are in Australian dollars. Quotes are valid for 30 days; after that we may re-quote, mostly because seasons and hire costs move.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before the session. Inside 48 hours the deposit covers the held slot. The full refund policy — including what happens when we're the ones who cancel — is on the /refunds/ page.
Weather doesn't cancel wardrobe audits. Outdoor event styling always has a backup plan, but the event itself going ahead is your call.
What we promise and what we don't
We promise honest advice, fixed prices agreed upfront and the session inclusions listed for each service. We don't promise that clothes stop wearing out, that shops keep stock, or that every family member will approve of the outcome.
Advice is given in good faith based on what you tell us. Purchases you make remain your decision and your property — returns are the retailer's rules, though we'll help where we can.
Using this website
The site's content is for booking and information purposes. Don't scrape it, don't misrepresent our prices, and don't use our imagery elsewhere.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes go to Queensland courts or a mediator first — we'd rather talk than litigate.

The three questions people actually ask
Can I give my session to someone else? Yes — sessions and vouchers transfer freely, just tell us who's coming.
What if the stylist and I disagree on everything? Happens rarely. You can end the session early and we refund the unused portion.
Who owns the outfit photos? You do, for personal use. We may ask to use anonymised shots on this site — you can always say no.
